    Ed, in looking at some fretless guitars, I am seeing a lot of glass fretboards, which at first sounds a bit strange, but in thinking about it in fretless terms, makes a lot of sense. Do you use ebony or glass? Forgive me if you answered that in another thread.

    Reminds me of the "Paris, Texas" soundtrack.

    I have listened to this several times. I really think this is some magical stuff. I don't know if it's my favourite example of your playing, but it's got a real strong vibe. What i admire most about your playing (apart from the flawless technique, blinding speed and fluidity) is the individuality you display in all of the stuff that I've heard. You are one of a kind. This is the kind of playing that I aspire to but fall far short of. Very inspiring stuff, Ed.

    I'm thinking that may just be the most haunting, chilling, etc. soundtrack I've ever heard...

    Ed, I was totally on the edge of my seat waiting for Robert Plant's archetypal scream/groan/moan intro follwed by the mighty Zep JB+JPJ assault! :dude

    Guys you're way too kind. Thanks!!!!

    As for fretless guitars...this was one of the two Vigier brass board ones I use.
    I just got a wood board one...(Redwood board) and with flat wounds it sounds amazing. But I have issues with the flat wounds. So I'll try gooping up my fingers and see how that works. If not it'll be round wounds.
    Also just ordered a doubleneck baritone 7 strin fretless and baritone 8 string fretted plus harp strings. :)

    Cool! :AOK Have you tried the glass fingerboards? Any thoughts on them? I guess I should ask why the brass board over the glass or ebony board. I ask cuz I am seriously looking at trying these things. Actually think it would be very cool to have a fretted, non-fretted doubleneck. Thanks Ed!

    Great clip, Ed!

    I`ve been wanting a glass fretboared guitar after watching this video clip of Ned Evett;
    http://www.nedevett.com/guitars.html

    I have an indian sarod and the glass fretted one could get me some of the same vibe if used with less gain, me thinks.

    Any idea what the difference in sound between glass and brass would be?
    Who makes guitars with glass fretboards?

    Some other fretless links I`ve found. If you guys have others please post.

    Edited;
    Does the video clip of Ned Evett work?
    I have trouble downloading it but it should be somewhere on my hardisk hopefully.

    Clip is working fine.
    Not sure what the difference between brass and glas is, never A/B'ed them.
    That said what your hearing there is pretty much any fretless plus sustainer.
