This is what turned out to be a gigantic pedalboard I am finishing up...
I swear it was pretty small on paper...
to follow will be closeups of some pedals I built... would love any criticisms/comments.

This is the 'sex drive'... I built it and then realized someone else had come up w the sm idea b4 me. It's a barely modified tubescreamer clone modified with a diode rotary and fat switch.

The ever popular 'thunderchief' - a marshal lead 100 emulator.
I built this to spec and it was noisy as f!#@... so I swapped out transistors till It was were I like it and this thing kills!

half tube screamer, half orange squeezer... I call it the tube squeezer!
1meg gain pot, amz fat mod, and the first of it's kind: the placebo switch!
(find out if your friend can really tell the difference!)

The brown sound in the box... again, similar to the thunderchief... I got a ton of noise when I built it to spec... then I swapped transistors till I found the right combo.

seems like all these transistor based emulators come out noisy as all hell. Lost a lot of gain on this thing by swapping transistors, but the end result has closer control over a smaller spectrum of gain...

I'll tell you... I should 'bottle that up and sell the piss out of it' cause everywhere I post people look past all the other pedals to that one - and it sounds great but it's def not my fav look wise.
    thanks for the response!

I'd like the opportunity to build another and this time I'll put "Ibenhad" instead of ibanez - I just didn't want to spend the time when I first built it cause it took so long to turn '7up' into 'Tube'.

Aren't you worried about trademark/copyright violations?

I'm not mass producing them Tim, just building one-offs for my own enjoyment - that's the advantage of building your own -you can do things that a manufacturer can't.

I was only joking with the 'bottle the piss out of that' comment (a reference to the clay jones overdrive -for those who know) although I doubt 7up is going to care about me making one of these and/or even selling it to fund future projects.

for those of you who liked this pedal: what is it about it that everyone likes?
    is it just the 'look'.
is it the idea that it's a dist and a compressor in the sm box?
is it the 7up orange crush motif or the general color scheme?

can I shamelessly bump myself here? hope I don't piss anyone off...

it's just that... I really want an answer to the prev question I posted.

I put so much more time into my jack daniels loop switch I always thought it'd be the one that ppul would flip over... and that damn green and orange guy that I see as so flawed -gets all the attention... I just don't understand it!
