Music sucks. Guitars suck. Amps suck.

Recording sucks. Listening to playback and having your nose rubbed in how bad you suck sucks.

    I suck. :(

    I like your attitude!

We're looking for a new engineer at the studio - interested?

It isn't about the suck, it is about the level of suck. :D

And don't forget the killer of all things suck, the almighty "overdub".

    Ahhh.

I never was very good at overdubs. I did however excel in "overflubs".

Don't forget that when you do finally manage to capture a recording of you not sucking, you are almost assuredly going to capture some yo-yo's 10,000 watt car stereo as they drive by listening to Eminem.

    DK,
The thing about recording is that:

    1. If neccessary only about four people may hear it.
    2. Do it again.

If you're talking about the actual process go analogue, it's more forgiving.

    Best, Pete.

Do you have the "suck button" on or off?

    Evidently it's taped down!

Some suckage is so bad even overdubs can't help.

Back to it tonight. Then I burn all my gear when I'm done sucking some more.

My suckage is so bad, that I know for a fact that I am the least-talented human being on Earth.

Please don't tell my clients. :)

"this, too, you know shall pass" - me ;)

so, uh, something went awry between 3 a.m. (when it was good) and 10:30 p.m. (when something was ungood)? oh, well, you'll get it, no fears.

btw, who was doing the in-rubbing? :D

Ah yes the feeling of suckness. I think we are all there from time to time.

Isn't that why ProTools became the industry mainstay now. :) :dude .

I have a very large suck knob so that when I use it my ego loves turning a really big knob. The cooler the suck knob the better the gear sounds when you turn it. :dude

Well, the first step to solving a problem is admitting you have a problem.
    :D

Recording is the single most effective tool in improving your playing imo.

David, if you just buy one more amp and guitar and call them the "recording" amp and guitar, I'm sure everything will be OK.
Turn this negative into positive my boy!
