I bought a Fender Custom Shop because the world faces a shortage of boutique brand Jazzmasters. Finally owning a great one has convinced me of one thing: MOST of what i love about the sound of a JM is the bridge/tailpiece (specifically, that the string rings on both sides of the bridge in a way that is amp-audible), and yet the bridge/tailpiece is something that some boutique makers of offset guitars seek to replace w/a Strat style trem. Anyway, the Fender is much better than I expected.

    Plus it sounds amazing FILTHY

Nice demo. Sounds great. I like my Jazzmaster a lot, too.

Yep, a Jazzmaster is the only guitar I’ve ever owned that I thought sounded amazing with a ProCo RAT pedal or fuzzes.

    They're catering to the 'I-want-something-that-looks-kind-of-like-a-Jazzmaster-but-isn't-actually-like-a-Jazzmaster' market. ;)

Yep. A bass player referred to my guitar as a “chaos machine”. A JM is supposed to generate some madness.
