Hey folks! I took delivery of this beauty a few weeks back and have been absolutely loving it! Ron built this one as an in-stock guitar that he showed at the Thorn NAMM Shindig this year and when I saw the pictures I knew I had to have it, I'm a sucker for all things carbon fiber! The guitar, as usual, sounds and plays amazing! Here are the specs for anyone who doesn't frequent over there:

Without further adieu, here are the promised pictures of Thorn SoCal G/T # 075 - The Carbon Fiber METAL tele!

Trippy. So is the top totally removable? If so, ever thought about getting another top or two with different pickups?

Also, if you love carbon, you need one of these. ;)

I love how Ron is always open to doing things a bit different, and how they always turn out great - this one is no exception.

Put me at the TOP of the "if you ever sell her I WILL buy her" list.

Damn. Wish I'd gone to the shindig.

    Peace.

I'll bet that one really rings out with the carbon fiber and the 2TEK. The "pickup ring" around the bridge is a cool addition, and I love the low profile knobs.

Whatever you do, keep that guitar out of the sun. Everey bit of carbon I've ever put on my motorcycles over the years has yellowed and dulled from UV, way moreso than any other part on the bike.

My trusty Bianchi has logged many miles outside and I don't notice any dulling or yellowing.

How would you describe the tone? Does it compare to any sort of wood? I'd expect it to be kinda bright, but have no idea...
