Bought it from a buddy of mine and got it today. It's what I wished my FDII was. I set it up like this with my Fargen Mini Plex Mk2. Fargen already rippin good in 70's mode.....think AC/DC. Set the Tim so that it's a clean boost on the OD side.....gain, treble pots all the way counter clockwise, bass knob almost all teh way counter clockwise and the volume up to 3-4 o'clock. Then I got the Boost side setup with the gain pot in and turned up until it sounded right and the tone so it adds a taste more treble. Man it's sweet. Step on the Bypass(Od side) and you get my Fargen's tone only a tad louder and a bit more gain. Step on the Boost side and you get all that a little bit more with sustain. KEY: NO MUSH! :AOK

    Had to share! :)

I love mine too. Is it even possible to get these new from the builder? Got mine on the Bay.

Yeah I got one when they first hit and it was everything I had wanted my original blue FD2 FM to be but could never get from it even in comp-cut mode.

The Tim is $155 shipped and the Timmy is I think $110(?) - correct me if i'm wrong. These are if you buy from Paul and wait roughly 3 months. If you buy from the Bay, the Timmy can be anywhere from $170-200 and the Tim can be from $240-300. I highly recommend buying a brand new pedal from Paul for 50% less than what the marketplace has it for.

note: I think the prices are changing soon for both the pedals. Somewhere around a $10-20 increase. This is buying direct from Paul that is.

since we're talking Tim here... can anybody elaborate a little on exactly what the differences between the tim and timmy are? i know the tim has the loop but as far as sound characteristics are they basically the same or is one smoother one crunchier etc? i know they are both very versatile but you get the idea.

You've got to call him, 615/896-8555.

He's in Tennessee and you should call of an evening. He's a great guy to talk to, very friendly and helpful. Shoot him a Monty Python quote for half off.:p Just kidding.

Talked to Paul yesterday to get on the list. Wait is about 4 months and prices did go up a little... $175 shipped (or $179 can't remember which) on the Tim and $129 shipped for the Timmy. I'm getting one of each. If the hype is true (which I believe it is...), $129 for a Timmy is still awesome. My guess is, fuel surcharges on shipping were most of it (both parts coming in and pedals going out).

Man he's been busting hump building these things for peanuts for years, a full size TIM is still easily worth the new price and more IMHO if you look at what some other peds sell for, and same for the Timmy. If the Timmy were 2 bills and the TIM were 3 bills it would probably be more in line with current "boutique" pricing or even still a bit low and still worth every penny. I have three dirt boxes on my main board and the only one that gets used every single time I play is the TIM. Brilliant piece of gear
