What in the name of the good Lord must we do to stop seeing the $10,000 Two Rock for sale.......?
I think that's been in the emporium on and off since I joined. The seller hasn't flinched on the price.
I think something along those lines is called for, maybe maximum number of reposts and/or bumps.
It's always abuse of social norms that spawns new rules.
All emporium ads will officially expire in Dec 2012.
I'm wondering if a person who owns a music gear related business, and also has a very expensive item for sale in the Emporium, isn't working a loophole to drive traffic to the business?
If I had a Klon, and priced for say $5000, but also had a boutique pedal business making Klones...that's dicey....right?
Or a good business model ?
You're figuring this place out.
I think that they'll all go away on May 21...
In all seriousness, I've PM'ed the guy with that wood Two-Rock about his excessive bumping - nothing changed. His response is that he's doing nothing wrong - which, technically, he isn't. I went my own way then. He's wasting his time and that's kind of where I had to leave it.
There is a timeout on emporium posts IIRC - 30 days. That means he starts it anew on the 30 day anniversary. It's annoying but he is following the rules.
He is following the rules, its just absurdly annoying. I guess we have to let people be in fantasy land...I would be willing to take any bet that he will not sell that amp for more than 3k. Recently used TR'S go for 3 and he's asking 10 for an old amp based on some hype from a "contest" some years ago....
If it bothers you that much put him on your ignore list and you won't see the ad.
For what it's worth I bought a Bludotone Loop-A-Lator him, and I was very satisfied with the transaction Fair price, shipped very quickly with an excellent packing job, and good communication. I wouldn't hesitate buying from him again if he had something I was looking for.
along with all of us.
You could make your point by putting up a "WTB: Two Rock The Wood" ad and bumping it every time you see his. But then you'd be part of the problem, not part of the solution.
