I have tended to stay away from posting because of my administrative role on TGP but decided that it's time for me to have some fun. All work and no play makes anyone grumpy! I have posted a bit about my new Mesa Boogie Strategy amp and thought that now might be a good time to start a thread for people (me included!) to show off their current rig.

Mine is a Mesa Boogie Strategy amp and a Greenboy F212 cab. This very portable rig can handle any venue that I would play and it sounds great!

Well, I originally posted my guitar rig, but quickly deleted it because I realized this was about bass rigs. So, here is my bass rig...

    Cool rig.

I posted my guitar rig as well, but then I noticed it was in the Bass Area; The Bottom Line forum, so I figured it must be bass rigs that get posted to this thread...

I just edited the title of the thread so that folks know that it is meant for bass rigs.

    My doghouse.

My amp situation is in a state of flux but currently an Ampeg PF-800 for the electric, and an Acoustic Image Focus for the upright, into 2x10 and 4x10 PF cabs.

It's a rare thing that I find a piece of gear that I can honestly say has won me over but the Mesa Strategy really covers what I wanted.....a tube amp with enough power to play most venues but light enough for me to carry. The tone is very good with everything set flat and extremely versatile if you want to shape the sound. Most of all, the tone inspires me to practice more!

i have been playing mostly guitar lately and the bass has taken a back seat, but here is the rig i use. i also have a couple cheap fretless' around but they are mostly in pieces right now awaiting upgrades. SWR sm-500 head and a goliath 3 4x10 cab. its has a tube preamp with solid state power. holy crap this thing is powerful and can be dialed in for pretty much any bass sound you can think of. i have never had it all out, its too scary.

I've been pretty static with my bass rigs over the past 10+ years.

My primary bass rig is an old SWR SM900 through an old SWR Big Bertha 2x15 cab.

As my main gig is a Rolling Stones cover band, my main bass these days is my '79 Thunderbird.

I'm fortunate enough to be using my old main rig as my "practice" rig in the basement :D That is an old Seymour Duncan Bass 300x300 head run in dual mono- into an old SWR Goliath II under an old SWR Triad I. Oddly enough, the big cabinet is usually easier to load than the smaller cabs- as the big cab is more of "tilt and push" and the smaller cabs have to be lifted.

When I have a show that calls for a smaller rig, I'll use one of the smaller cabs. Last year I had a BIG stage to cover with minimal monitors so I brought the SM-900 and both small cabs on the ground angled to throw the entire stage.

If I do more of a pop/rock gig- I'll choose the 1998 G&L L2000 or the 65 Jazz Bass- both have a more "modern" sound- with the G&L being more contemporary and the Jazz more able to sit into a mix.

That is a SWEET rig! Love it!
I'll try to remember to come back and post mine. But it's a Tech21 VT Bass DI into a korg tuner into a carvin dcm1015 into a carvin LS1503 cab.
    Sounds good and gets loud.

    I don't have a picture of the amp I'm using, but it's a GK Backline 600 into a Peavey 1820

The bass here is a Yamaha RBX760

and I threw this board together as a hybrid bass/guitar pedal board
