Me and my trusty '77 Musicman Stingray in high school circa 1986.

I fronted this band on guitar, but that bass is my 1937 Kay Upright.

My amps have gone from the Thunderous back breaking Mesa Boogie 400+ and a 8x10 cab to a Mark Bass Lil Mark with 4x10 cab to a TC Electronic 2x10 combo.

Started with the 77 musician and have owned a lot of basses through the years but always came back to the 'Ray. It's my only bass now and all I need.

I have a Bass 400+ torn apart in the basement... It's probably been 10 years, I need to get some glass and reattach the transformers... put that thing back together and get some wattage going through that machine...

I played my NS NXT (electric upright) at a rehearsal for the first time last week. Loved every second of it.

I have a very simple Bass Rig. My tastes in Bass Guitar tones are very simple.

    Yamaha P/J Style Bass Guitar
    Ibanez TS9 Overdrive Pedal
Crate BX160 Bass Amp, with 15" JBL, and Graphic EQ

I have an ESP Horizon II Five-String bass and a Zoom B3. A really simple rig, I've been meaning to get a bass amp, but I'd probably never be able to play that at home.

So, is the splitter there to run everything in parallel basically, then sum them all back to a single output?

Yes. All that stuff is muddy when running in series but sounds uuuuuuige in parallel.

I actually run an opposite sorta thing for guitar, where I'm splitting my guitar signal after my guitar effects out to my 6505mh with a 2x12, and then into my bass board (with a compressor and octave down running) into my Darkglass Microtubes 500 and a 1x15.

Added a new pedal about a week ago. It eliminated a few pedals in the process.

As of last night, Aguilar TH500, Aguilar GS2x12. Nice and simple and sounds incredible. Will switch to a Markbass III every now and then.

Fender American Standard P-bass into a Phil Jones Briefcase amp or if I want to go ampless I use a Tech21 VT Character pedal into the PA.

I got this one last year around my birthday, really really LOVE it!

    It's a Ibanez Premium SR1800E.
Shortly after I bought a 12" cabinet & a tube amp, but it sounded horrific with guitar & I wanted a all-in-one rig, so I'm still using a little Fender Rumble.

At the turn of the year I got in touch with RevSound & he confirms his 2x8" is great with bass or guitar, but now I can't seem to find a nice small tube amp to go with it, or a SS amp that sounds tubey enough or with the right features.
The EVH 15 Watt lunchbox is what I tried last year & it's just got too much gain for bass.
Aguilar Tone Hammer is great for bass, awful for guitar
Quilter has the Pro Tone Block, but the fact that you can't boost the mids puts me off.
Dropping a Fender Rumble head on that RevSound 2x8" might sound a little better than what I have now, but not sure it's worth over $600 for that upgrade...

[IMG] I found it in two pieces and got it for $50.00 :aok .
It had a warped ( spiral ) neck with a huge bow in it .

Took about two months of gradual truss rod adjustments and it was fixed . I'm thinking on a single coil PU to add
a little more complexity to it's already great sound .

I just pumped this bad boy into my TC Helicon VoiceLive 3 X's octaver - WOW - it's awesome . I also used the new
Source Audio SA170 Prog.EQ , that was really nice .

I reviewed a video where a BOSS DS-1 was used to give it another soundscape to use , and - - - I was just gifted a BOSS DS-1 !
I could play bass instead of guitar heh heh heh - I'm :JAMworking on getting the hand/arm strength built up .

It's quite addictive to play :dude .

Great sounding Pbass , I've got the action a little high but can go much lower . I like the Motown Bass sound primarily
as well as funk and jazz , blues/rnr.
