The A team.
I love my Tobias Growler 5 from 1998. Yours is a cool bass too!
This is an early 90's Tobias Pro 6 that I've been tweaking for low responsive action
I've probably posted this before with a different head. This was the maiden voyage of the TCE BH250 head.
I was like, that looks like King St, then I looked at who it was
Yup. If you recognize the street you can probably name the club.
Basses: Ric 4003, Fender AV58 P Bass, Fender Select Active Jazz Bass (with pup/electronics swapped), Westone Spectrum LX (fretless)
Amps: Ampeg V4B (70s), Fender Bassman Ten (70s), Mesa 295
Cabs: Ampeg Heritage 4x10 (current), Fender Bassman Ten (70s), Mesa Powerhouse 1x15
I'm not a bass player, but I play bass to fill a loop space while I practice.
I've owned several basses over the years, all Fender - 3 Jazz and 1 Precision. All great guitars! My latest is a neck from a 2011 JB, which I covered in Daphne Blue to match the 1996 body that I painted recently.
This is a cabinet I built specifically for my bass amps. Until I gave my '73 Bassman 100 to my son, it drove this cabinet fiercely. Now I use a Mark Bass 250 to shake the walls.
The cab is front ported and insulated. I had to reinforce the rear panel to help tighten up the projection... and it works well. All fasteners find threaded brass inserts.
For me, this rig delivers the goods.
here's my current go-to;
Maton JB4 fretted & fretless, Ampeg V4, Holden Wasp.
New to the bass, so what is pictured is all I got so far, although it suffices quite well. I do see a 5 string Jazz bass in my future though.
Tech 21 dUg Ultra Bass 1000 stack with a Hamer B12L 12 string bass..
Also have 2 1/10s in the works from the same builder.
Alexbass pre/Unicorn poweramp.
A Sandberg 4 string, tons of pedals. Pics of these coming when I figure out how to upload pics.
Jazz Bass - coil cable - Mesa Strategy - Ampeg 810.
TU-3 (not in signal path)
The 810 was backline. I normally use a Mesa 410.
I'm currently very simple. Rickenbacker 4003>Korg Pitchblack>Fender Rumble 500 210 combo. I really like the sound of the Rick. It's a surprisingly versatile instrument, tonally. That being said, a local guitar store has a new Fender American Precision that's been hanging on the wall, collecting dust, and whispering my name. I'm also a big fan of the Rumble. I may add another 210 cabinet for when I need to move a bit more air, but value wise, that amp is tough to beat.
Mini Rig of Doom
Jazz Bass - tweed cable - Mesa D800 - Subway 210 and 115
TU-3 (on stage) or TC Electronic clip on tuner (everywhere else)
Is that the Flea bass? How do you like it?
