I recently got to interview the new owner of TMG Guitar CO. a controversial brand with a sorted history here on TGP, Jonathan really laid it all out there and told the story from his perspective.

I found another video that has a story based more in reality than that one:

it would be nice if people would listen to the interview instead of knee jerk reacting to it, i understand that there is a dramatic history with the brand here but its under new ownership and the new owner has a story to tell.

Yes, we know the story. We remember when Jonathan's Mom dropped by and hung out for awhile. Good times, good times. :roll

Have better judgment than to use a beyond tarnished brand name and more will watch a video. But I dont have an issue with you doing the interview, newsworthy I reckon.

The interview is an hour long and you posted this reply six minutes after the video went up.

Glad you listened to the whole thing to make an educated statement.

I have played a recent TMG. It had some issues that were particular to my tastes, but overall it really was a great guitar. The new builder Seth is a talented guy and has a legitimate background in lutherie unlike Taylor.

There is more to the story than revealed in the interview, but overall I think Jonathan and crew have it on the right track. Time will tell.

I'm still amazed at the 180 some of you have done on this. I've got my suspicions, but will just leave it at that.

I wonder why Seth and Jonathan and crew didn't just start a new company instead of associating themselves with a company name that has such a bad reputation.

Because they did a cost/benefit analysis and decided that the prospect of continuing to milk the P&W teat outweighed the other options.

    Too soon?
