I happen to live in the same city these guys are located in and they let me come by and play the new analog delay with tap tempo.

This pedal is SICK. It will end my delay search FINALLY. It sounded gorgeous, vibey and had killer features. No annoying noise to speak of. Just beautiful analog delay. I played on it for a while, and put it through the paces. Everything from dreamy and washy to slapjack county. It nailed it!

I have been through the Supa Puss, JHS Panther (and cub) and the Timeline. I never really bonded well with any of them, or they simply had too much noise. I will gladly shell out the money for the new Walrus delay. Kudos to them and their hard work.

If anyone was interested, I wanted to give you heads up.

Ooooh. My curiosity was very piqued when they announced this. I will wait to hear a demo later this year and it might replace my (much more complicated) Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe. It's a a sweet pedal but it's kinda my secondary delay compared to the Timeline. haha

Very interested, although I prefer a simple tap tempo

Glad you're stoked about built by some local bros. Walrus Audio seems like a cool company. Everything I've tried of theirs seemed to be top notch. Be sure to chime back in this thread after you've owned the pedal for a month or two. Your words will likely carry more weight then. Many a TGPr (myself included) has made a similar claim about pedal X before owning it, only to sell it after the shine wears off.

What are the details on this bad boy? How much delay time, what chips, etc...? Excited to hear about it. Panther Cub isn't really doing it for me.

    - Repeats
    - Time
    - Mod Speed
    - Mod Depth
    - Meter = Subdivision rotary (I would assume)
    - Tone
    - Dip switch determines expression controls?
    - 1000ms of delay time (saw an interview)
    - Stereo ins and outs
    - External tap or tap send? I asked on FB what it does.

Briefly tried Panther Cub and found it way too dark and just generally didn't find the tone pleasing. Hoping this would be better.

With tap tempo and 1 second of delay time, is this an analog voiced digital delay? If so, please tell me it isn't based on the PT2399 chip....

It's an actual analog delay with a digital tap control that feeds into the time control. This is how analog delays with tap function.

Sounds like it could be interesting, although I don't remember the demo wowing me.
