New band I just joined up with. Lead guitarist plays a beautiful (and expensive) 335 into a Matchless Chieftain (or his Two Rock sometimes). Says all SS and Digital are complete crap.. He doesn't even use pedals.

So to test the waters my rehearsal rig today will be my Hagstrom XL2P (P90 loaded) into my RP1000 and an EV 112P FRFR. Leaving the Helix at home because I updated to 2.8 and haven't restored my backups yet. No time to dial the Helix and the RP is already tweaked and peaked to the EV.

The blues band I joined a few months ago talked a little trash about the helix when I first showed up. Next rehearsal and gig, I set up some specific patches for that band, and they took back all the negative remarks and said they were really surprised how good it sounded.

I see where you are going - you are playing gigs with gear to make music instead of sitting in your bedroom arguing over the nuances of different forms of multi grain wood on the overall tone - and interspersing arguments about whether the Ultra Mojo SpifCraft PAF Humbucker with 7023 winds actually brings out the lower midrange bark better than the Creole RustBucket PAF humbucker with only 7011 winds - while simultaneously posting on TGP your complaints that none of your Collection of 204 PAF humbucking styled pickups are selling at your extremely low $450 per pickup price.

    .

You should first set up with a Peavey Bandit and Boss MetalZone pedal.
...And then bring in the extra equipment.

If you can play, none of it matters. 335 into matchless=amazing. Squirt cv Tele into champ=glorious. Hagstrom into helix=fantastic.

Well bro, erryone knows the mojo lies at 7022 winds. IF you are tuned to 432.

Play what you like, drink what you like, love the one you’re with.

    (tubes still rule :D)

So what does a patch for a blues band consist of? (Not making fun, trying to understand)
