    I saw them do this live in Seattle a few years ago. Petty introduced Eddie Vedder saying something along the lines that no one had ever covered a Heartbreakers' song as well. He really does nail what he said was one of the songs he grew up with.

    that was killer. tp & the heartbreakers are just so good live and eddie did a great job with the vocal.

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE the melody of that song. Just so effortless, and in the chorus is just seems to resolve no nicely.

    i love almost anything Ed sings on, but this one is just effortless, and great. Petty isn't one of my top 100 acts, but i could listen to Campbell play guitar all day, exactly what i would love to be as a player: original, song-oriented, but rockin' and unforgettable lyrical lines.

    I'm not a big PJ fan so I really wasn't expecting much but that was GREAT.
    Vedder did a really good job on it.

    I'm a HUGE TP fan. This is just a reminder that Tom & Mike are two fantastic songwriters. Just amazing talent.
    I am so glad that they met each other and started a band.

    Eddie is pretty much the best in the business. His solo shows prove that he is much more than just the PJ front man.

    Two of my favorite singers merged for one performance. Fantastic. That band wasn't half bad either. I really like Tom's lead playing. Simple but always on point.
