I heard there is a new Tommy Bolin tribute CD about to be released featuring many of todays top quitarists doing remakes of Tommy's songs...
Anyone know any details as to whose playing on it and the release date? Tommy was one of the greatest ever and I cant wait to hear this !!!!

I've read something about it and I'm pretty sure it was in a UK mag called Classic Rock or it may have been Guitarist
It said who was on it, I dont know if either are available in the US, if that's where you are, but if you can find them it might be worth having a look in the News sections of both magazines

I'm pretty sure Warren Haynes is on it but it's been a while since I've heard anything about it.

Stanley Sheldon and I taught at the same music store a little over a year ago and he told me about this. I told him if they're making a Tommy Bolin tribute, the one guitarist they NEED to have on there is Jake E Lee. Unfortunately I think they were already too far along to get him involved.

Agreed, other than one of my best mates the biggest Tommy Bolin influenced guy i can think of is Jake

It would be nice to have Jake E Lee on the tribute disc, hell it would be nice to have Jake play on any disc. It's a real shame he doesn't put out some new material, he is such a talent.

I will have to keep an eye out for the TB tribute, thanks for the heads up OP.

The tracks are killer, I love what Warren and Co has done with this. As far as Jake goes, he is really out of the scene these days. The list of players on this album is out of this world. I think they did just fine as far as choices to play.
The alternative takes are great to hear as well.
