I just caught a great Tommy Emmanuel show (first time to see him live) and got a chance to meet the man. He's an enormous talent and seems like a great human being too. A too-rare combination in the musical world. If you've never seen him catch him when you can.

I hope to someday! Tommy is one of my favorite guitarists (and a great entertainer too)!

I saw him live for the first time last summer and it was just an incredible show. Everyone should definitely see him if they get the chance. I can't image a show being much more pure fun that Tommy.

I've seen him several times...all tremendous shows. The best one was with the Lexington Orchestra. Large fun.

I'm going to see Tommy in about a month...can't wait! Nice venue, I should be sitting within 20 feet or so.

This pretty much sums up my feelings, too. His live show was incredible.

Saw him back in 97 in Oz. One of the best performers I have seen live.
    Maton are great guitars too...

I saw him at the Iridium with Les Paul a few years back. Had never really heard of him before. I couldn't believe it was possible for one person to do that with a guitar, Absolutely unique, incredible talent!!!!!!!

I prefer to watch Tommy than listen to his music by itself. His frenetic energy reminds me of Vivaldi.

Agree with having to watch TE in order to "get" him.

A few great dvd's out there of him allow just this! Highly recommended.
