working on a guys guitar and it's a 2 hum, 1 vol. 2 tone layout. All the controls are fine except the bridge pickup tone control works opposite what it should. When turned counter-clockwise it rolls off the highs. The neck tone control works normally and when the knob is turned clockwise it rolls off the highs.
What gives with that bridge tone control working opposite the neck tone control like that?
    Anybody know?

Someone (you?) soldered to the wrong lug on the pot.

It's a 2 minute fix. Don't touch what you have connected to the middle lug. Desolder whatever you have wired to the outer lug and solder it to the OTHER outer lug.

Counter clockwise should roll off the highs, clockwise brings them back, although I agree one of them has been wired in reverse!

That is what I was thinking too. Counter-clockwise should roll the tone down.

Just one more way in which the digital watch has led to the downfall of modern civilization.

Sorry, you guys are right. Stupid digital age in which we live...

I was trying to imagine the guitar as I typed because I didn't have it in my hands.
Thanks for the info on the lug... nuts.:rotflmao
