Which one of these is probably sucking the most tone?
I just realized that something (or a few things) in my pedalboard are sucking some tone. I just got a new amp, a Dr. Carmen Ghia, and it became more noticable. I don't have an FX loop. Here's my chain right now.

    SG standard>EB volume>Vox Wah>Guyatone ST-2 compressor>TS9>Boss GE-7>MM-4>DL-4>Carmen ghia.

there's like a slight treble and volume drop between plugging straight in and going through the board. I'll just run each pedal separately and figure out if there is a single main corporate, but if you guys know if any of these pedals are notoriously poorly bypassed, I'd appreciate the heads up.

    cheers

    it's the volume pedal.

also possibly the wah, unless it's a true-bypass modded older one or a buffered new one.

I use an MM-4 and find I get a slight *volume* drop when it is engaged.

Overall, my pedalboard creates slight high-end loss; I compensate with my amp's tone stack.

do they make true bypass volume pedals? I do a lot or swells and stuff so it's pretty necessary for my set up.

Try putting the compressor first. It will act as a buffer for your guitar's output, and it won't fight the volume pedal.
