Tone Tubby in Deluxe?

    Looks like I will have an extra TT hemp speaker sitting around after some recent speaker swapping...I have a reissue Deluxe I love, but have never been a fan of Jensens. Think the TT in it would be worth a shot?

    Yes indeed. Nice tight low end. Smooth mids, and a sweet top end. What's not to like? give it a shot. It will take 10 minutes if you use clips on the speaker terminals to try it out.

    I say go for it!

    +1 Tone Tubby in a Fender Deluxe Reverb sounds wonderful, very smooth...

    That is what I have in my 66 Deluxe Reverb, a TT H1 Alnico. Have a ceramic 10 " in my 67 Princeton Reverb. Can't go wrong here.

    Really smooths that amp out from the Jensen reissue crapper.

    Use them in my 6g3 (brown deluxe) and love them.

    Hey Jack, are talking about the Ceramic or Alnico tubby? I have an alnico in my 5E3 clone and it is a great speaker for that amp. Great clean tones and overdriven ones as well. I find the speaker really holds the bottom end together too. Do it.....do it now!

    I have the ceramic Tone Tubby in my 5e3 ...lots of bottom and sweet when cranked...no harsh tones. I love it.

    i used a buddy's DRRI with alnico TT and weber copper cap rectifier. one of, if not the best sounding DR i've played live.
