Looking for a nice TB clone. I like the mk1 and the mk2 oc81d.
What are some good places to start looking?

Looked at British Pedal Company??
And Ryan Kirkland build.

Thanks in advance.

Ramble FX Twin Bender get's lots of good press - it does Mk 1 and Mk 2. I haven't played one, though, so no idea if the press is accurate.

SolidgoldFX Rosie is silicon MKII, but it nails the real tone (I've played real ones, and DAM's version, among others).

I haven't played a real MKI, but the Deep Trip Kryptone is based on one and sounds utterly fantastic (and is crazy versatile). As soon as I plugged it in I sounded like Mick Ronson (and I had no problem tweaking it to sound like a MKII). -E

I haven't played it either but I've also heard nothing but good things about it. Check out Burg's demo of it.

Actually the Twin Bender does Mk 1.5 and Mk 2. The Mk 1.5 is the only Tone Bender variation with just two transistors; Mk 1, 2, 3 and IV have three. The 1.5 is a fuzz face with a couple of different values in the input and output capacitors, so it sounds nothing like the Mk1, which basically is a Maestro fuzz-tone variation.

On the D*A*M website there is a nice history essay on Tone Benders: http://www.stompboxes.co.uk/History.html :beer

Jimmy Behan makes a great MKI that won't cost you an arm and a leg. If you can find a Hudson Shapes of Things, it is an excellent MKI. The Skinpimp is pretty rowdy. The Acid Fuzz MKI Mini is great, as well. All of the aforementioned can be obtained for $200 - $300 or less.
