I don't want to spend 385 dollars for a Tonebender MKll so I was considering building the Knob Bender kit by ESV, you can buy the kit for 98 dollars from the buildyouownclone website,......can anyone tell me if this kit is an actual clone and compared the ESV kit to the original,....and give any info,...would be greatly appreciated

I can't say about originals but I've built the kit from BYOC and the kit from GGG and the GGG kit is by far a better sounding fuzz, not just out of the two but one of the best fuzzes I've ever played.

Yeah. I buit a BYOC ESV and wasn't impressed.

Have heard great things about the GGG Kits.

Don't get me wrong as BYOC definitely has some stellar kits.

Their ESV just wasn't one of them. For me anyway.

I bought a pre-built BYOC ESV (one of the older models, apparently) and have to say it was one of the best sounding Tonebender MKII pedals I have had the pleasure of playing through.

Of course, I tried to externalize the bias knob and put it on the fritz.

But now I have an Analogman Sunbender to keep me busy! :banana
