    ME.........big time !!

I love his swamp music , some of it sounds blues, funky, soulful and just a great listen. What albums do you consider to be his standout work ?

He did a lot of session work too, he was the guitar and harmonica player on a couple of cuts on Joe Cocker's album "Organic" and a lot more. I've never bought his albums to be honest, but have always liked his work and his music.

"Rainy Night in Georgia' is enough to make him immortal.

Tony Joe White is really funky and wrote some cool songs. "Willie and Laura Mae Jones" is beautiful both in lyric and music.

    The cotton was high
And the corn was growing fine
But that was another place and another time

I kinda wish there was some funky 70s movie of "They Caught the Devil and put him in Jail in Eurora, Arkansas".
