My son called me the night before and told me he had an extra for the show. I was kind of hesitant to drive three and a half hours for a show then turn around and come right back, so I said no. My wife told me I should do it and, when he didn't get rid of the ticket I told him I would go that morning. So glad I did. Nice to have them back in small college arenas. They opened with Fear Inoculum and did a couple more from the album. The show is, as usual, amazing. Nice watching a show without the sea of phones until Maynard told security to "stand down" at the end of the night. Kind of a trip to have the band take a twelve minute break (complete with count down timer) before the encore which started with a gong solo. Happy birthday was sung to Adam during the show. They also did a couple of songs they hadn't done in almost ten years. Love the way they are always changing things up.

    Interesting.

I've read that he's done that at a few shows recently.

I'm seeing them next month. Can't wait.

Noticed that Adam has brought back the Mesa Rectifier and subbed out the silver VH4 for this round of gigs.

Seeing them in Nashvegas...3rd time this year, and worth every damn overpriced beer.

I got so see them twice this tour. Band is tight, sound & visuals were incredible for Tool's set.
Not sure who was running the board for Killing Joke but it sounded bad both nights.

For some reason I resisted Tool for quite a long time. I guess some of their early stuff rubbed me the wrong way at the time although I did like the song Schism. But thanks to a friend at work I gave Fear Innoculum a good listen, and for the most part like it a lot. Some day I should stop hanging around here so much in my spare time and give more of their back catalog a listen.

I may alone in thinking this, but I think Fear Inoculum is their best record.

I can't compare it to the past, but it's a pretty good record IMO once I gave it a couple listens it grew on me quickly.

Play it in the background while wasting time on TGP.
