I'm 43 years old and love all sorts of music. I just "discovered" Tool, though. Any other Tool lovers out there?

Great band with a solid catalog of releases.

I like much of what Tool has done.. and, one of the few bands that has a lead drummer... holy drum fills batman!

Great musicians, though their last release was one of the most disappointing albums in recent memory for me.

Tool is one of my all-time favorite bands. So many great riffs, lyrics, and the musicianship is top notch.

Check out A Perfect Circle as well. Maynard's other project.

the drummer's father Bob was the head of junior golf here when I was in that program growing up.

I went to play a tournament in dallas one year just as tool was coming to town and Jeff's dad got a bunch of my friends and I tickets to the show. Of course I missed it though, still pissed. :(

Great band, probably the heaviest stuff I listen to though but I bet you'll hear that from a lot of people. Just popped Laterlus out of the disc changer in my car after beign there in consistent rotation for months.

their albums are crazy compressed though but I like it in this particular instance.

I'm a long-time Tool fan, although I tend to like their earlier stuff a little more than the recent releases.

Very atmospheric yet heavy band-tons of layered sounds and immaculate production. (a gothic metallic version of Pink Floyd in my opinion). As others have said, APC is also incredible.

I love lateralus...it's by far my favorite.

Anyone have a good recording of them doing 'no quarter'? I lost mine somehow.

Tool in '94 at Blind Melons in Buffalo was one of the best club shows I've ever seen. Intense, moody, rocking and a little scary. I remember Maynard put a girl in a small cage up on the stage and left her there...
