Enjoy. Sorry for the large pic size. Dig the NOS Marshall salt & pepper grill cloth. Thought you all would also enjoy a couple chassis pics.

For yucks, here is a comparison shot from a '98 model Royale. I still favor these years. You know, it's a personal thing!

My cab measures 10" outside, how deep are the new cabs?

    They certainly have gotten neater.

Hey mang - I still love the look of your CR. Beautiful. I used to own a matched 2x12 King and Club Royale set from 1998. Both amps were cream tolex with oxblood grill cloth.

New cab is 11" deep - maybe just a hair more. With two G12H30s and the deeper cabinet, my CR sounds almost as ballsy and "girthy" as a King. The thick salt and pepper grill cloth really tones down some of the high end in this amp.

I believe Brian only made a very small handful of deep cab 2x12's before he left California. Of all the Hats I have owned, this one really has a certain mojo about it.

Built like tanks and sound like angels.

Michael's TopHat is one of the coolest looking amps on the planet. And from my experience with TopHat amps, I am certain it easily sounds as good as it looks.......especially with a Tele.;)

Thanks TP! Yours is the color combo that I would want in a 1-12 cab w/Blue so I could also use this amp as a grab-n-go. I would love to hear the difference the deeper cab would make. I use my Zemaitis copy neck pickup w/o boxes and the lead tone is so .......... I can't even describe it, it is so beautiful!

Mine is a 1x12 combo with Celestion Blue. Club Deluxe, Club Royale, the sound is simply fabulous.
