Torpedo CAB vs Real cabinet

    Recorded this today. It's quick and sloppy and I'm still learning how to optimize all of CAB setting in the Torpedo Remote software, but it gives you a decent comparison.

    Thanks for posting the comparison, it's helpful. I recently picked up a CAB and have been having a lot of fun with it. It makes recording so much easier.

    I think both your clips sound good, although the real cab has more life to it and the Torpedo is a bit muffled (to me).

    Do you use the CAB power amp? The manual says it's not needed if you're using a real amp but I've found adding it brings a lot of life and zing to the tone.

    Thanks. No power amp modeling used. I haven't tried the power amp modeling with an amp yet, only with pedals. There is definitely some trial and error with mic placement in the CAB to get a more lively sounding recording, but I'm really liking the CAB for my needs. It's a great tool for those of us who only have free time after everyone is in bed.
