It will be interesting. Alaphillipe did win polka dot last year and 2 mountain stages, perhaps I'm being a bit too suspicious.

Really sucks about WvA, you can tell he has a lot more heart than many other riders.

Bummer about the crash. I felt that one.

    What happened with Tony Martin?!

What's with Rohan quitting yesterday?! He would have been a strong contender for the win.

Martin has been doing a ton of work so he rode easy.

    Rohan was pissed about equipment.

Knowing what happened to Teejay it seems he loses focus on the course.

Wow Alalphillipe puts more time into Thomas!! This is shaping up to be a great tour. Probably wishful thinking with , but I would love for someone to finally put the boots to the Sky/Ineos stranglehold.

This is an unbelievable tour. I stress unbelievable too. Super open and enjoyable, but I do not believe what I see. As always we must take top level sport for what it is worth. In a few years I will be curious to know exactly what was going on.

Funny, when sports become aware of and at least partially deal with cheating, competition starts to re-emerge.

See doping in cycling and steroids in baseball.

JA wins MSR, SB, Wallone, could have easily won Amstel, and still has form enough to do this sort of stuff? He was obviously sandbagging at the end of yesterday gifting to Pinot. This tour glows in the dark.

I find this Tour to be one of the best in years. Loading the toughest stages into the last week and a half has paid off.

On a different note, some of the current sunglass styles are terrible imo.

Agreed. I picked up some retro Oakley Eyeshades (on sale) a while back. Dumb purchase. Wore them twice and realized NOPE.

Switched to the EVZero path, which are used by a few pros. Very light and no blind spots. The Prizm lenses are very HD and useful.

Yup. I own 2 pair. Got the 2nd at an Oakley outlet store on markdown. The clarity is mindblowing. I came from Jawbones, which were heavier and had too many blind spots. I was using old M Frames before that.

Well, it sure has been eventful! Yesterday was incredible. How much longer can Alaphilippe continue to ride so hard? I hope he can hang on but worry that he will suffer a catastrophic blow up.

I can't pick a winner. Could be any one of the top 6.

I do have a suspicion that many of the Ineos team have been ill over the last few days. They've all been under their usual level. I wouldn't be surprised if they improve for the last few days.

Apparently Quintana is having a squabble with his team, per the announcers. Either they’re not supporting him properly or vice versa. Not sure.

Didn't they announce he's going to Arkéa–Samsic next year?

They said he’ll definitely be on a new team and this is the last year with Movistar. I didn’t catch the name of the new team, however.

I’d be interested to learn more about this.
