So I'm thinking about buying a macbook as my main computer since I am traveling and thinking about what I should get to record into the macbook as I have not been following the latest developments. Guitar Rig, Amplitube, Stealthplug, etc?

I want something that sounds good. Portability is a big plus. I have L6 stuff and it is ok but want something better.

This is for practice and recording....

Planning to look at recording software later after I get the initial set-up. Thought I would use garageband for a while first.

    Links are appreciated. :)

Thanks. I see it gets some raves on macrumors. What about software for amps and effects?
