Has original tubes and is the first version with metal logo. Any opinions on the amps itself...and current value? Would like one to replace a 1973 Marshall 1986 cct MArshall amp I am going to sell soon...My main amp is a Satellite Atom, and just play it. The Marshall is a backup that isn't appreciated, the Traynor would be a hopeful good locost alternative.

Thanks!

They're cool amps, of course, and easy to mod (the top pops open just like brain surgery :0 Recent sales around here, when you can find one, have varied from $500-900.

Great amps and sonically will have some similarities to your 1986 circuit Marshall. $500 is a solid average price in good shape, especially if it has the original tubes. I've seen them with asking prices of much less, and also much more, but around that mark seems to be typical. I've had many old Traynors over the years. Those tubes may be Phillips branded Mullards and be pretty desirable on their own.
