I finally found a 6V6 version after a long wait.

Needs a cap job & tubes (expected) & a 3-prong plug (which I'll leave to an expert; call me a wuss, but...)

Sounds sweet, though...glad I bought the 6V6 hype. Also, the circuit seems simple enough that I'll be trying to do some of the work myself (not the plug, though).

Anyone else have one of these? You know, before you guys all got on the Internet, Traynors could be had for a pack of smokes plus shipping. I'm just sayin'

I've got the YBA-2B. Neat amp. 6BQ5's though, not 6V6s.

Hm. I just listed mine in the emporium. Perhaps I'll also kick myself if it sells, but I think I'll be okay. They sure are hard enough to find though, damn. When I find that I've got some spare cash I'll probably go looking and then be like, "dude, where did all the Traynors go?"

Found myself a YBA-1A for $300... Its the ultra-loud 90watt king of the traynors:)

I decided to bring it to JTM-45 specs and its just one massive sounding amp. Sorta useless because of the volume. But I keep it around for kicks.

That's insane, where on earth did you find one of those around here?

I've had and sold a couple of them, and it's the same old story... I'll never crank out a 90-Watt head (and the 90W spec is a modest understatement, I think), but I wasn't happy about letting them go, either.

Great snag! I got one, trying to decide if I want to alter the eq. A bass amp, after all. Mines a bit woofy on 10.

Agreed... 6V6 is sweet. Just snagged a 1966 YBA-2 that needs a little work, the usual, but can't wait to make it my everyday amp.

P.S. Guy who sold it to me wanted a case of beer for it... I gave him what it was worth cause I work with him and wouldn't want any hard feelings later.
