Hi everyone. I'd love to hear some recommendations for tremolo pedals that are budget priced AND swampy.

Apologies if there is another relatively recent thread on this - please point me to it if there is. I've been looking and found swampy threads and trems in general and budget threads, but not all in one place. I did find a 'budget swampy' thread on another forum, but that's a few years out of date already.

Just to give you an idea of what I'm liking in demos (at any price), the Swamp Thang and Throbby stand out. But I just have to keep things cheap at the moment, as I've spent a lot on gear recently. Yes, I may buy one of those in the future.

But is there a budget (maybe no more than $100 AUD, even less would be better) trem that'll do the same kind of sound, even if not exactly the same? I'm looking for something more smooth than choppy, and one that sounds good when dialled in subtly and slow too.

    Thanks.

Voodoo Labs Trem should be max $80 USD used.
Boss TR-2 should be max $60 USD used and take a couple simple mods to sound awesome.

BBE Tremor - by far one of my favorite trems (and I've had a lot). 2 speeds, real photocell, very swampy. About $120 USD - but well worth the extra dosh.

Fav trems are the BBE Tremor, EHX Stereo Pulsar and the BOSS TR-2.

I got my BBE Tremor for $65 new (and it was one if of the newer cool looking black & white versions).
Got lucky on an ebay auction :)

If you're up for building your own, the BYOC Tremolo is excellent and only $75
