Just ordered a repro tremolux style cab and having it built to the same specs as I want it as close to the original as possible,i.e. pine cab,one piece closed back, divider, etc. and the only thing not being done by the builder is the insulation batts, since I don't have one to go by anyone tell me how it was done back then? I read somewhere that the thickness was 1.5 in and it was cut longer on top so the sides hold the top up as it wasn't stapled or glued but rather just "placed in". Do I cover all four sides and just two placed directly behind the speakers? Anyone?,pics would be nice!

It's been a while since I have had the back off my '63 Tremolux cab,but I recall that what you have read is correct. Mine also has additional batting behind the speakers, filling the cab. completely. I believe it is all original. Sorry,no pics.
