WOW...must be nice to be able to sell things way over market price just because it may or may not have actually been used by a famous band. (and one that notoriously abuses gear if they did use it)

Escpecially when you consider with artist endorsements they probably get alot of stuff free too.

Yes, but poo gear is generally sturdy and easy to replace. Different considerations when touring vs. recording vs. playing occasional gigs.
