I've done my best online buy really would like a definitive answer....help!

The square getter is attached with a short post, not directly to the plate tab. It is also attached close to the corner of the getter, giving it a bit of a diamond appearance. As well, the support rods are all the same height and no copper. It was labeled Raytheon in yellow paint, but I'm not convinced it is a raytheon. Purchased in Canada (one of those rca or GE canadian factories?).

    Cheers

Might get more responses posting this in the Amp Tech sub-forum?

The photos aren't the easiest to tell, but still... It is a '50s Raytheon. Key characteristics are the flat-cut plate tabs (the part of the plate that protrudes through the mica), and the straight-edged plates with only two plate staple holes per plate (positioned in the center).

Probably has a bright tonal character, with thinner, but well-defined bass, excellent clarity, and earlier breakup. At least mine do. Excellent tube!

I wish there was a manual that defined all the tube characteristics....seems like scouring the web for clues and slowly learning through your posts and others what to look for.

You can see the remnants of yellow paint that had the Raytheon logo. Great tube. Clear and punchy with a nice compressed and smooth sound.
