edit: here is a newer & better clip from a session I did 2 weeks ago.
strat position 2, straight up fender clean (sf twin), so a total mayer/srv type base tone, the drive is all from the fuzz.

Here is a clip recorded in church last sunday with a Paul Trombetta fuzz that he custom voiced to be extra smooth & rich into a Fender amp set clean & bright.
I was using my "stratele" which is an alder/maple tele shape with a rosewood board & super low output van zandt strat p/ups & my SF Twin (which is partly blackfaced) @ volume 4. was was loud but totally clean.

thx for listening ;)

And it's tiny!!! Nothing beats that! Adding a smokin' tone to your board with no real loss in real estate!

Sounds excellent! How much does a Velvet Fudge cost?

Cam has been telling me all about your product ...
I'm very interested in the one that sounds like more like a trombone's attack .. that's the mini bone right?

(great live solo over that smokin' groove BTW brudder Cam ...)

thx for the kind words!
The tone is all from the velvet fudge.
the amp is just a straight fender clean.
Best,
CAm
that's the part I found particularly intriguing per your original remarks

I'm looking at getting one of his fuzzes which can function cross-platform w/ marshalls-fenders-vox's

my suggestion: Pm paul & get his ph#.
if you live nearby, visit his workshop, that's what i did b4 I bought anything.
prob your best bet would be to have him voice a fuzz to your taste, that's what he did for me & he just nailed it.
My first thought would actually be his mini bone fuzz, that thing is really versatile.

Best,
Cam

The Double Fudge!
Features the original Fudge circuit, (Fudgie buddy, Tornita, Feederfudge)
And the new Velvet Fudge in one small box. 3 way voice switch.
Battery or standard 9V adapter. A whole lotta tone in a tiny footprint. You can even kick the switch between fuzz 1 and 2 with your foot.

See my manuf. thread for pricing ► https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/670891
