I use a Pocket POD alot. Both in the studio and live. Mostly live though when doing solo gigs though when I get the call to do some recording for the local singer songwriters round here I carry the Pocket Pod. There is alot you can do with it and you can even use it as a base for your pedal board.
Studios around here love it cause its plug and play and the sounds are right there.
The cork sniffery for me is over. The hype is shattered. Its about the player more than the gear IMO.
That said... I love my Deering amps and still love the OceanEFX pedals which is why I keep em in my sig.
In a mix, can you tell the diff? Usually? No.
