OK folks...this will probably be impossible but here goes.My mom gave me a bunch of pictures she had of me and she has one of me with my first electric guitar taken in 1971 (i was 9). The photograph is not very good but here it is. I am including a link to a larger version of the picture too. It is too blurry to read a name on the headstock but maybe someone will ahve a clue!

    thanks,
    ww

That reminds me of the old Kent guitars from the 60's.

Some sort of Kent or Kingston or some such... there were 50,000 of those brands, and most of 'em have no info left.

Know where you bought it, maybe?

not really sure where i bought it but i do not think it was an expensive guitar...possibly bought it at western auto...we lived in a very small town and i remember the western auto store in town had a couple of guitars...gonna talk to my mom today to see if she remembers....this was 35 years ago so it's a little vague...maybe all this thinking about it will jar some brain cells into place and i will remember more!

Looks like my first guitar too. Teisco or something similar. Has several of the same characteristics.

Your timeframe makes sense. I got mine in 76. Let me see if I can email a pic to you. Very similar guitar.

that would be great doodaddy....one thing i've noticed is you don't see many guitars with the headstock as a burst as well as the body.

    looking forward to your email
