Ibanez Japan says Limited but not a specific quantity mention. Guitar Center says 2000 and I also saw that on another dealer’s site.

gotta love sweetwater's marketing of the magic chip... reminiscent of the rockett/klon/pgs ordeal.
"Much of what makes the original Ibanez TS808 so smooth, sweet, and full is the JRC4558D IC chip that Ibanez spec'd it out with." all original 808s didn't have that chip. some did. some didn't.
