I have KT-66HPs in the Louis Electric JTM45 clone. They sound very good. I am wondering about JJ 6L6GCs.

The new production Tung-Sols have been getting a lot of good press. I use TS 6550's in my Flexi and think they're terrific, and will be buying a set of the KT-66's soon.

I really like the JJ/Tesla preamp tubes. I have those in the Flexi. I have EI's in my GDS and those are really good as well.

No help on the 66's...of new glass, I also favor the TunSol pre's ...the only advice I have received on the rect. tube is look for durability...I don't know how much diffrence sonically there is between a Mullard GZ34 and a JJ GZ34, but I am sure the Mule will outlast the JJ...I still think you would do yourself and your amp a HUGE favor by going NOS...from tone standpoint AND your wallet...check with Tube Tramp over at the Plexi Palace forum...his pricing is very close to new glass and his expertise and reputation is beyond cost.....

Thanks for the advise...I've been thinking about the NOS alot..
I'll try and get ahold of Tube Tramp and see what his prices are
    for my JTM45 clone...I have a Plexi50 clone as well...but I don't think I can afford NOS for both:(
