I never scene these until coming on the tgp. I noticed them on quite a few boards. What's the skinny on them. Why are they so much and are they worth it?

They're super-accurate and have lightning fast response. They're also small, built like tanks and are inexpensive. Hence their widely accepted status as "the best" on TGP.

    I love mine.

$129 is so much? I guess I've been on here for too long....seems like a bargain to me.

Well considering most tuners are around $100 , i was wondering why they sell them for $139 (amazon), so in that regards, yes they are a little more expensive.....geeez!

    They're $129 direct: http://turbo-tuner.com/
In context of buying one of the best tuners out there, it's worth the extra $29.

I'm also someone that came from owning Peterson tuners, the Turbo was definitely a bargain.

turbo tuner is the best. i kinda wish it had a switchable buffer though. that would be the icing on the cake.

but yeah, as i said, best tuner on the market bar none.

This is TGP. If you try to keep up with the Joneses here, it'll get A LOT worse.

    :rotflmao

    Enjoy your new tuner! :beer

The accuracy is incredible, it's easy to use, built like a brick sh*thouse, and is cheap. Once you calibrate your intonation with this tool, you will find yourself spending half the time tuning as you ever did because your starting point will be closer to "perfect".

Yes and once you do a few setups with it (intonation) on your present and future guitars it is paid for. It is a bargain!

    Kind Regards,
    Steve

    geez - there's a 1000 threads on these - do a search.
Summary is they're by far THE best stomp tuner money can buy.
They are true bypass, super accurate, super fast, small, reliable & cheap.
The perfect tuner & better than a strobostomp :)

I initially didn't buy the Turbo Tuner for that reason. However, I relented, and now I LOVE IT! Once I bought it and started using it, I became a believer. It is very fast, and extremely accurate to within .02 cents. I will NEVER go back.
