Recommend some very versitile/tweakable phasers! I like reeeeaaalllly long, airy sweeps in conjunction with some of my delay and reverb pedals. Budget around $240, willing to go used.

Factory of phase. 3 different stages. Negative and positive feedback.

Also, the Diamond and Red Witch look great.

Very versatile and sounds fantastic. Best phaser pedal out there IMHO.

The Homebrew Electronics Psilocybe is easily the best phaser I've ever used.

I'm a HUGE fan of the psilocybe...but in terms of tweakability I think I'd have to look at the subdecay quasar first.

I love my Moogerfooger Phaser and I've tried and owned quite a number of them. It's the warmest and most tweakable phaser I've ever experienced. The Red Witch Deluxe Moon Phaser is awesome too, however it sounds more hi-fish then the Moog. The Boss PH-1 phaser is very warm sounding too, however it has a very small phase sweep range and its pretty hard to get one in a decent condition.

Though it is about 50 clams more than your budget, I'd definitely save a little more and go for the Diamond Phaser. Great sound and quite tweakable - both from the knobs/switches as well as an expression pedal. Slowest LFO speed is 0.2Hz - a five-second phase.

The following is near-unobtanium and outside of the stated budget, but I thought you might appreciate some phaser pedal porn.

    ProphecySound infinitphase mkII Custom

The unholy spawn of a Mu-Tron Bi-Phase and a zvex Seek Wah, this is a step-sequenced phaser on steroids. My unit is fully-blown with every option:

    • 8 seq steps
    • LFO rate
    • LFO symmetry
    • LFO shape
    • LFO depth
    • sequencer range
    • lag smoothing
    • CV mix betweem seq and LFO
    • audio mix
    • pos/neg resonance mix
    • extended speed LFO
    • sample & hold
    • S&H rate
    • LFO height
    • stage select
    • pedal control of LFO rate
    • pedal control of depth
    • pedal control of sequencer range
    • pedal control of manual phase sweep
    • stereo outs

Yep, truly a phaser mini-synth in a pedal. #24 of 24 mkII units made. Took 9 months to build. Here is a pic from the builder.

Just played my enterprise phaser from vfe. I don't think I'll need another phaser. Nice suprise is the vibe setting. I love it. Great build quality. This has so many differents shades.
