My son takes music lessons (drums mostly but a little bass) at a small music store near our home. My wife usually takes him back and forth but I occasionally get that assingment and always enjoy seeing what the owner has in stock. Most of the gear is aimed at the entry-level crowd but he occasionally gets some cool vintage gear.

Today I walked in and saw a vintage Tweed along the wall, a closer look showed it to be a TV front Fender Deluxe 5A3. He said an older woman recently came into the store and said she wanted to sell the amp; that she had played in her 20s and had stopped when she started her family. Apparently the amp has been in her attic since.

Shop owner indicated that he believed it to be all original and was nice enough to fire it up for me. Sounded amazing! Anyway, thought I'd share a couple of pics. Wish I had the cash...

I know the shop owner is in business to make money but how can you not keep that for yourself!

I'm surprised it still worked. Wouldn't those caps have dried out?
