Two Rock 12-65 Speaker?

    Anyone in the Dallas/Ft Worth metro area have one that I could hear?

    Nowhere near you, but I had one. And I agree with what has been said. They are nothing but an Emi RW&B. A somewhat dark speaker, muffled sounding to me compared to a Greenback. I didn't really like it, sold it. Maybe your into jazz though.....I dunno.

    One came (stock) in my Two-Rock 1 x 12 Sig cabinet. Liked it quite a bit at first, but as others have stated, dark and muffed sounding in a direct comparison to other speakers. I ended up pulling it out and replacing it with a Scholz driver (speaker). HUGE difference all around.

    The original 12-65 is basically a RW&B. Lots of low end, a bit rolled off on top. I thought it was a nice speaker, but preferred others.

    The newer 12-65R is a bit different - more upper mids, not as rolled off, though still not bright.

    They first marketed the G12-65 in 1979. Who copied who? I have have original G12-65's and just sold an Eminence, Red White & Blues. The R, W & Blues is a good speaker but it's not G12-65.

    Not the G12-65 (made by Celestion) - the 12-65 (Made by Two-Rock).

    The 12-65 (TR) is basically a RW&B.

    That must make about 10 copies now of the original Rola Celestion G12-65.
