Two Rock 4x10 owners speaker change?

I've had my Two Rock 4x10 for a month and I love it. I'm running a Emerald Pro through it and I've done 3 or 4 gigs so far. I love the sound but I have the same disease as everyone else and I'm thinking of getting 4 Ragin Cajun's to replace the 4 WGS Vet 10's. One thing I've noticed is the WGS are only 10 watts each verses 75 watts for the RC's. Just wondering if anyone has swapped out your stock vet's and what do you think.

I have the Ragin Cajun's in my TR 4x10 and it smokes, a bit darker than other speaker combos but the cabinet sounds terrific with those speakers. Granted, I bought this 4x10 with the Cajun's in there so nothing in this specific cab to compare it to, but it's my go to cab even next to my other TR Sig 2x12s.

It's dark with the WGS speakers but I can EQ it up a bit with a MXR 10 band EQ in the loop. OK I think I'm going to grab a quad of them. I found a package deal for a quad for $269.00 shipped so I'm going to grab some.
I'm think the clean channel will be better right off the bat with the higher wattage.

Have you considered the 75 watt WGS 10" speakers. Supposed to be similar to the RC's.

I was at NAMM Two Rock/PBG private party at Slidebar and Matt Schofield had cab loaded with Rajun Cajons...sounded great to me, as well as his Sig Amp.

I just checked their website and it looks like they are doing a clone of the RC. But American Music is offering a quad of RC's for $269.00 shipped so I think I'm going for the real deal since it's cheaper anyway.
Based on the specs I should like the RC's better considering I'm just using miniature Vet 30's and I never liked the V30's or their clones with anything
like a Two Rock or that type of amp. I tend to favor a darker speaker most of the time which is why I'm a huge fan of EVL's. The biggest plus is the higher wattage so it should hold it together better at higher volumes.

That's a good deal for the RC's.

Ya, the wattage is the one thing that threw me with this cab. I thought TR would have opted for a higher power speaker to handle the cleans of their amps?

I ordered the quad of RC's for $269.00 shipped. American Music ships same day and they are pretty close to me so I'll have them in 3 or 4 days.
But the wattage thing is going give me better cleans for sure.

Hey guys, I sent a quad of our G10C/S-16 ohm to Two-Rock a few weeks ago and they spoke favorably of them when we met up at NAMM last week. They may end up listing them as an option in the future. As far as the Rajin Cajun comparisons, the G10C/S uses a 1.5" voice coil vs. 2" for the RC so while the tone may be similar, if you are really going to be pushing them hard I would say the RC's will stay cleaner longer. I don't have a Two Rock cab but I really like the Celestion G10 greenback in my Marshall 1965A. I do have Ragin Cajuns in my 1965 BF Super Reverb. They're really efficient. The Celestions are a bit darker and more inefficient which is good for cranking up the amp and getting some drive.

Anyone try jbl d110 or ev 10m's? I have the speakers, just in search of the cab and TR looks great!

My speakers will be here tomorrow so I'll drop them in and try to post
some video. I already have video with the stock speakers from my last 2 gigs so I can do a comparison. I gotta say I played last night with the stock speakers and got allot of compliments on my sound but I'm sure the Emmy pro has allot to do with that, it's such a great sounding amp.

I love them, very 3D and hifi sounding if that makes sense. The cab is less boxy sounding more robust and open. I was chatting with Chad at Two Rock the other day and their thinking of offering the RC's either as an option or replace the Vet30's with them.

Awesome! I think the RC's are a no brainer as an option to offer.

Yes they are outstanding, I'm glad I was able to chat with Matt Schofiled when he was in town, that's when he mentioned he was using them.
The higher wattage really helps on the clean channel as well. I think the Vet30's are great as well here is a clip of the Vet30's a week before I got the RC's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0OslTPM2Yk

so you can see they sound really good, very smooth. I'm hanging on to the Vet30's for another 2x10 or 4x10 cab though.
