Yep. I had it shipped 3rd day express, and its gone. They have no trace of it. It landed in Newark on Monday, and from there......VANISHED.

Have to wait until tomorrow and then have TwoRock put in a claim. :(

Man sorry to hear the bad news. Maybe someone handling it along the way knew what a Two Rock is! I just got an amp yesterday from New York via FedEx. I was so worried about damage or it being lost. Luckily it made it here safe. I would have probably cried like a baby if FedEx lost my Sterling in transit. Hope they find it and make it right.

man, that really sucks. i worked for ups my freshman ear of college. that experience always makes me nervous about sending anything i care about through the mail. ALWAYS get the insurance! my worries, however, come from how roughly things are treated. i've read stories like this and they always make me suspicious, because it's pretty hard to loose something that big and that heavy. perhaps it simply got put on the wrong truck without being scanned. that happens and the package will usually turn up in a day or so. if that happens, i would demand that fede get you the package 24 hours from the time they locate so as to avoid them losing it again and you getting it ASAP.

unfortunately, in my experience with both fedex and ups when it comes to tracking packages is that you have to kind of be an asshole for things to get done.

good luck!

That definitely sucks.

I just thought everyone knew .......NEVER SHIP anything of VALUE during the week of X-MAS.

This rule has served me well anyway...

It may turn up though.

Hard to feel real sorry for a guy who owns a Dumble though........:)

I had the same thing happen with Fedex, got nowhere on the phone with them. I was at a Fedex depot, dropping something else off, & mentioned it to an employee working the counter. He said he would take the tracking# & try to locate it in the lost center in Salt Lake City.
2 hours later he had me on a 3 way call with the lost center who found it.
They just double checked it with my description, & delivered it.
The label came off, how I don't know I used the sticky window envelope, I would bet it was torn off.
It's on Two Rock as far as a claim, but it may be worth a try talking to someone at the depot in person.
Good luck, hope it turns up.

This past June FedEx lost a Germino Masonette that I had shipped. It was missing for 12 days. The label got torn off of the box. The person I dealt with from the trace department said that he would do every thing in his power to find the amp and he did find it based on a detailed description of the amp. He was actually very helpful. He gave me his direct line phone number and I was able to reach him easily for updates.

If the label is torn off FedEx inventories the contents of the box and puts the full description in a data base. I was asked to describe the amp in detail including the packing materials used, dimensions, weight, color, brand name, model, serial number, number and type of switches, knobs, input jacks, etc. FedEx then searched the data base daily until they got a hit.

I now write my address and the delivery address on the box in at least two places, plus it is also a good idea to write that info on a piece of paper and put it inside of the box. Evidently those clear plastic adhesive envelopes get torn off more often than you would think.

Good luck Tag!!!

I have a box of goodies on the way as well... however, I asked the seller to wait until AFTER Christmas to ship it. Just too many packages in the system right now and I really don't want it thrown around.

One of my Port City amps went through the same thing but only becuase the box opened in transit.
The package was fine except for a few scrathes, but I won in the end by filing a claim that got me new tubes and a head cab instead of a combo cab.

I hope they bring it back to you unharmed. I hate to hear about ANY amp going missing in shipment. Of course, you have one or two other amps you can play until it makes its way back... ;)
