1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

    Without further delay...here we go:
Mongoose Special Hollow Mahogany, 3 Tyler P90's AL5 in neck & bridge, AL2 in middle. VTT Push-Pull on tone to add neck pickup. Mahogany vee neck, Braz board w/ no dots, extra fingerboard rolling. Hipshot tuners....
    Enjoy:

Under natural light it looks a little more orange

These hipshots feel alot smoother than the sperzels

Didn't have any Creme material, so we used MOTO

This is a good representation of the color

Sweet, but I need to go back to 10's for this guitar, I put on some 9-46's and it felt a little plinky. The bridge pickup is ferrocious, but with plenty of spank and twang. neck middle is a really cool stratty sound as is neck bridge (more of a tele meets LP thing).

neck on it's own is definitely reminiscent of a tele neck, I think I might have Jim wind the pickup a little hotter and brighter.

It plays great, the vee neck is killer, you should get it on one of your upcomming fiddles.

Nice. Never seen an orange one before. I like. Where's your dots man? I bet UPS dropped the case and they all fell off!

I've been guitarless for a couple of months now. However my SE should be with me in a couple of weeks or so. Hopefully.

Wow you know what? James Tyler guitars and me have gone from a hate to an extreme love. I really dig that shmear finish and the headstock just looks cool (thought I'd never say that...) the way the decals are applied.

3 P-90s sounds like it'd be a lot of fun.

WOW! That is amazing. Was that a special order? If not, where did it come from? And can you ballpark what you paid for it? (If you'd rather not, I understand)

They should feel smoother, they have an 18:1 gear ratio as opposed to the Sperzel's 12:1. I recently ordered a set, I have yet to receive them. I'm glad to hear you like them. I may have to replace those buttons though, I'm not sure I like the way they look. Anywho...

Gorgeous guitar, congrats. Three P-90s, that's sweet. Love the finish too. Enjoy.
