I just got a Tyler Studio Elite Burning Water (no midboost) off Ebay. Since it was used I was wondering what PU's usually come stock in these models.

I've seen Suhr, DiMarzio, and Duncan all used as original equipment from time to time on those. I know now Tyler also uses some of his own labeled pups, purportedly contracted through one of those mfgs.

I think it is a JB in the bridge with the VV singles.

What do you guys think about these PUs? I haven't had the guitar for long enough to tell what I think yet.

My BW has the same PU configuration. I think VV's good PU's in general, but VV's in Tylers are great. Congratulations. Enjoy your fine instrument. :AOK

    Congrats on the score!!

I think Tyler has all of the pickups wound to his specs, no matter which company he uses. I have played their guitars with VV's, Suhr's, and my SE has Tyler SC's and the slanted Trembucker. All of these guitars sounded great to me.

If you email Tyler your serial number they will give you all the specs. They are usually pretty quick to respond to emails of this nature.

It could be a number of different things. I believe he uses Dimarzio VV's, SD Classic Stacks, Suhr V60's, or his own for singles usually with a JB Trembucker Bridge.
