There are a lot of delays out there. I really like the delay the edge incorporates (with modulation I understand). I was just wondering what people would recommend to get that delay with modulation.

Rack or pedalboard. Doesn't matter. Budget MAX $400. I would like to keep it lower.

Best choice is a Korg DL8000R (getting hard to find). Next best rackmount bet would be a Korg SDD-2000 (Digitech TSR24S can get really close too).

The Boss DD-20 is about the only suitable pedal choice, though an EH Deluxe Memory Man pedal is good for everything before 1983.

Buy 2 Boss DD-20 pedals and you are all set. You can offset the delays and have them linked via a common tap tempo for incredible Edge type delays.

Buy any tap tempo and run a Y splitter out the back of it so you have one line going to each DD-20 tap temp input.

Roland SDE-2500. Nails the tone perfectly. Any Roland SDE or Korg SDD series (old school) rackmounts are the bomb by any standard.

I know how to use a delay pedal. I just want to know how to use 2 together. I know both must be set with the same cue(tap) but both pedals are definitely in different settings. What settings are they?

a lot of people like to run one delay with quarter notes or eighth notes, and the other delay with dotted eighth notes.

Running them in stereo works great, as you can run them in parallel without the first pedals delays being repeated by the second pedal (using wet/dry output)

There's been a lot of votes for the DD-20, which is cool... just wondering what the consensus is on the DL4? I thought they were rivals...

    ... although I can't say I like the DL4's size - what a fatty!

Anyone can get a good U2-ish sound from the echopark btw? Just got me a new echopark couple of days back.

+1 on the Memory lane, I love the modulation sounds I can get with mine.

Also the DL4 stereo delay setting was ment to sound like the delay the edge uses, just look in the manuel, it even says it.

I too am looking for a delay. I would like to run it in stereo. One signal going to one amp as 1/4 notes, the other going to another amp doing dotted 1/8.....U2ish. Does the DD20 allow you to do this? Is that what you mean?
