I can understand that.
In Canada... does not show under purchased :-(
I want my money back from the last u2 album...so I'm ok with the freebie
It didn't automagically "purchase" for me either with iTunes Canada. I had to click on the promo tile in the store and then click on "Free" in order to start the download.
Of course, this is on the iTunes Windows app... doesn't apply to my phone as it's Android!
The solution is to move, then...
...correction, this is TGP, the solution is ALWAYS a new guitar.
Possibly... but since we're already in Canada, it would be downhill moving anywhere else!
A new guitar, however... that I can always get behind.
The last U2 record I bought was The Joshua Tree,.....so, yeah, I'll pass on the free new album.
Well I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it. I just paid with my time - and it's a fairly boring listen. There certainly is no "Beautiful Day" here. All I can remember is some song that has Joey Ramone in the title. Bono sounds good.
Kinda like it, except for the Ramone song. Not a strong song IMO and the fuzzed out layered guitars are not my cup of tea. Liking a lot of the other tunes though.
California is a pretty strong pop rock tune.
A gift? No brainer!
Finally, a new U2 album going for the right price. Still not interested.
Amazed at the different reactions.
I found their last three albums formulaic and very average.
But this new one I simply am in love with. I think it is among the best music they have put out because it's so different, yet sounds like them.
EDIT TO ADD: Average for U2 is still better than most bands best.
I'm loving the new record. I've loved almost everything they've done actually.
Every Breaking Wave is a great song.
Solid album, I've enjoyed the first few spins.
You reading and replying to this thread is exactly what they were going for. This is what's in it for Apple.
REALLY liking it. A lot.
Just turned it on. First song. Is that fuzz the Edge is using? FUZZ? THE EDGE?
He's been using a myriad of fuzzes for decades. Curious what his board looks like this time though.
Really good record so far. Best effort in years from them.
Huh. I guess I just missed it. It felt weird to listen to anyway.
And I'm fairly sure his board looks like 3 or 4 full sized racks, that giant 30-40 button MIDI controller he has, and an expression pedal or two.
