I think we need one of these here, lot's of people are getting into them and a lot of people are interested in finding out more. Monsterpiece Fuzz pedals are made by one guy in his home in St. Charles MO. His name is Richard and he goes by "duderanimous" at HC FX. PM's at Harmony Central is how he does business, he does not have a web page yet. His workmanship is the best in the business, the inside of his pedals are pure works of art. They sound fantastic:dude

Here is the basic info on what types of pedals he makes and some pictures of some of his work. I would encourage all owners to post their pics, stories, settings. These also are killer pedals for bass, drum and vocal tracks:dude

    * Monsterpiece NPN - all silicon, very versatile & great for later Hendrix type tones.

    * Monsterpiece PNP - hybrid Germanium/silicon. Similar to the NPN, but a bit grittier, darker, warmer.

    * Monsterpiece Classic - All Germanium, early Hendrix Fuzz Face tones

    * Monsterpiece MKII - All Germanium, great early Zep/Page tones

    * Monsterpiece Angry Dick 2000 - All silicon. Essentially a Jordan Bosstone clone. Great 60's era Biker Movie fuzz

Since this is the TGP version i have a question:

Is this the one where we go:

    OMG!!!!!!!!!
I just paid 700 for this pedal, this one is better than those on the other forum!

Or is there something more to it than that?

I have one of Richard's older 2 knob NPN fuzzes, and just scored a 2 headed NPN/PNP from a fellow TGP'er and love it, I can say that Richard's work has gotten even better!

per a PM from the builder:

Classic - Fuzz Face circuit with Roger Mayer "Hendrix" mods, and added input bias control. All Germanium using AC128 transistors.

MKII - This is really the ToneBender MK 1.5 circuit(late 1990's reissue Sola Sound MKII also uses a similar circuit). It is a 2 transistor all Germanium circuit.

Angry Dick 2000 (AD2000) - Essentially a Jordan Bosstone clone. Mid rangy, gnarly, cutting fuzztone.

Don't know about the others. I'm planning to order a 2-headed monster, just trying to decide which 2. :dude

This is copied straight from a PM I got from Richard (the builder) when I was first looking to buy one. This was only a couple months ago, so the prices should be the same now...

I been reluctant to join the monsterpiece love fests.

I bought a PNP over 2 years ago. It is still my fav fuzz. I would like to get the MKII and NPN, but i been so happy with the PNP.

I've had one of each of Richard's creations and my favorite by far is the MKII.
